At the extreme, try freezing a hummingbird’s wing while it is hovering midair even at 1/3200.

I did this in Colorado with a Fuji X100 camera, freezing the wings by using the high-speed built-in flash.

But this was with the birds literally in front of me, landing in my hair and cap. The Fuji did not disturb them. My big Nikon drove them away. …sadly, I no longer have access to hummingbirds.

And while I think of it, how are you doing with the rest of the Charles Atlas course? I can handhold the 200-600 for about 15 minutes at a time… mind, I am 75 so perhaps when I was younger it could have been 17 or 18.
