It seems like you have to do at least a minor adjustment and depending on where you hover you (don’t) see the mask. Having “m” always work would be much easier.

Yes, that’s how DxO have implemented this feature; The mask is always shown, even if “Show Mask” has been switched-off/disabled, until some adjustment has been applied … The simplest one to apply is a minor change to exposure.

yes, but I posted it as feature request to allow others to vote for that, so that the DXO team - hopefully - listen to the community and we see these improvements in fututure versions.
