Can anybody on Windows 11 using RTX 5060ti confirm whether Nvidia Driver 616.56 works OK on PR 6.6 ?
Did you not see that DxO strongly recommended against installing Nvidia driver version 616.56? That’s partly because it doesn’t play well with DxO apps and also because it causes many other problems in Windows systems:
They closed a thread on problems in Pure Raw using this driver version with that post. It’s rare for DxO to participate in these user forums like this. I would take their warning seriously and avoid that driver update. They recommend 610.88 instead for now.
Thanks for your reply, I had already notice the warning but only after installing 616.56 which crashed PR 6.5 as DXO had warned , so I had to roll back to 610.88 to enable PR 6.5.1 to work properly.
I was just wondering if PR 6.6 is fixed to work properly with 616.56 or maybe wait for DXO to give an update as to if or when it’s safe to upgrade the Nvidia GPU driver?
At the moment I’m ignoring Nvidia nags to upgrade their GPU driver and staying with 610.88

do not discuss the 616.56 issue either way but do say to use the “latest” graphics drivers versions. I don’t think they really mean it for nVidia. I think DxO is waiting for nVidia to fix the problems when nVidia releases its next driver update. Notice how DxO doesn’t think the issues in 616.56 are confined to DxO apps; they describe much more general Windows issues. Until you hear otherwise from DxO, I think your plan to stick with 610.88 is the right one. I hope DxO comments when nVidia does next update their video drivers.
But if numerous Pure RAW users who somehow stuck with 616.66 reply and say, hey, Pure RAW 6.6 is working great with 616.66, I’ll take it back. I’d wait.
