Only if you have saved the 9.8 download.

I noticed that Viltrox 25/1.7 Air lens is now supported on my Fujifilm X-T5. Great to see!
I am experiencing exactly the same issue after upgrading from PhotoLab 9.8 to 9.9.0 Build 48.
This is a critical issue for me because it effectively makes PhotoLab unusable. Since I cannot access the Users folder, I cannot navigate to any of my photo directories. Drag & drop from Finder also does not work, so I am unable to open or edit any of my images.
My environment:
In PhotoLab 9.9, the “Applications”, “Users”, and “Library” entries under Macintosh HD are displayed as file icons instead of folders and cannot be expanded.
I have already confirmed that:
The same machine and OS worked correctly with PhotoLab 9.8, and the problem appeared immediately after updating to 9.9.0.
I am also a macOS user in Japan and experiencing the exact same issue. My boot device is the internal SSD of my MacBook Air, and the situation is identical. Since no one else seems to have raised this as a topic, it might possibly be an issue specific to the Japanese version…
FWIW
I had previously been on v9.7 so thought I would try to avoid any overlay install headaches….
Re; I am using W10 Pro fully up to date.
I updated my nVidia drivers from v595.79 to the current v610.62
I uninstalled v9.7 and installed v9.9.0 from a download via the account portal.
As this was a fresh & full install it took a while as it had to download all the AI models.
A quick ‘kick the tyres’, all looks well ![]()
PS as we are on v9.9 now I surmise that we will being seeing PL10 in a few short months ![]()
If DxO continues to follow it annual release schedule, we should be seeing the release of PL10 sometime in early/mid September, less than 3 months from now..

Hello,
There are no links between the versions, the next “major” version of PL v9.9 will be v9.10.
Each version is independent and will continue to be updated while version n+1 is released.
I know, that doesn’t help right now. But it is kind of strange. At least it doesn’t seem to be a widespread problem.
But of course, it’s a total disaster when it comes to work.
P.S. 9.9.1. b50 available
it was late when I posted…….![]()
Granted that we may yet see v9.10 or even 9.11 or higher before the next ‘major’ version change to PL v10 and as you say DxO have (to date) always maintained support via ‘dot’ releases for the prior version upon release of a ‘major’ new version release.
Personally I would not call a ‘dot’ release or 9.9 to 9.10 a “major” change.
It appears that the programmers cannot fix the change in export options without me providing them with a diagnostic file.
I am speechless.
smh. Robotic, unthinking responses from frontline support are so common now, and from companies large and small. (Some of the worst I’ve seen are equally from DxO and Microsoft.) I’ve come to think it’s a good idea to push back, trying to be forceful but not derisive. Sometimes, maybe more often than not, that breaks through the wall and moves things along. Other times I just tell then you have all that you need and walk away. Mileage might vary.
My thoughts exactly. They closed my ticket, so blind obedience to their procedures seems to be locked in.
Yes – and it’s exhausting.
