I understand that my query below is not to report an issue with PL, but rather a question. I posted https://forum.dxo.com/t/om-1-mk-2-working-photographer/38170 on 11 June 2024 but have received no replies. My primary current dealer was able to arrange a demo of an OM-1 II kit, and for the reasons I have explained in the referenced post to this forum, I decided (of necessity) to add an OM-1 II kit to my primary Nikon kit. However, if any working photographers or experienced enthusiasts who use the OM-1 or OM-1 II are on this list, I would appreciate a reply. The only references I get from OM are to OM ambassadors (sponsored working photographers who almost invariably do the “three monkey thing” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_wise_monkeys ) with respect to the marque irrespective of which marque is “ambassadored”) that does me no good. This is very different from the unofficial Nikon information from Thom Hogan (https://www.zsystemuser.com/nikon-z-system-news-and/ and many other web sites as well a useful guides). I have found an OM-1 II guide of use from a working OM photographer in the UK, but his primary work is photography and does not provide any regular website/s similar to those of Hogan. I do highly recommend his guide to the OM-1 II as it offers much more insight into the OM-1 II system than does the official OM manual, and saves much experimentation (as do the guides and commentary from Hogan). The OM-1 II guide I have found invaluable is from Phil Norton (https://www.philnortonphotographyblog.co.uk/om-system-om1-mk2-guide). My mention of either the material from Hogan or Norton is not an advertisement and I receive no compensation from either; the mention merely is to honest information that I have found of practical use. Note that unlike Nikon (and Canon and Sony), OM does not have a professional services unit (eg, Nikon Professional Services). Any replies greatly would be appreciated.
