Feature request for Dx0 to support also monochrome sensors. And Ricoh GR IV Monochrome in particular.
I remembered seeing a feature request for this - particularly mentioning Ricoh. However, I only see the one for other brands (particularly Leica) and it has only one vote. I suggest reading that thread to understand the problem. But I would like to see DxO support these cameras.
I think these feature requests should be merged so that there isn’t duplication. But please don’t forget to add your own vote! Creating a feature request doesn’t mean you vote for it.

Yep, holding back on upgrading my DXO until there is monochrome DNG support. …hopefully it gets added

Gets my vote. I would love to see support for my Q3M. I do undertsand that a monochrome camera is niche but there are plenty of people who use them alongside colour sensor cameras and having one app for all would be awesome!

Thus you also understand that means that DxO would have to invest with little hope of a decent return on their investment within a reasonable timescale. Which means you also understand that because of that lack of financial return, DxO are extremely unlikely to invest in this niche market.
I already acknowledged that monochrome cameras are a niche market. My question was whether DxO had considered supporting them, not whether niche products involve commercial decisions. Unless you have access to DxO’s dev costs and sales forecasts, I think it is premature to state that there would be little hope of a reasonable return. A niche market can still justify support, particularly when having the feature would mean a one stop shop resulting in dominance in the space.
