Fort Gratiot Light, at the junction of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River
Perhaps I was a bit harsh, but it was just my initial reaction. Personally I like decent negative initial reactions to my photos, as they tell me how others see the things. My wife sees my women photos very differently than me, as an example. Sometimes I take that into account, sometimes not.
Well, I must say, I think the B&W version is absolutely lovely.
Good idea to switch to BW!
I like the upper inner part of the lighthouses, when you can reach them. Here in Stykkisholmur, Iceland
And now Guernesey and “les Hanois” Lighthouse. Not for the quality of the picture but for this weird modern design. The light is embedded in the support of the helicopter landing area and above the solar panels which power it
Another lighthouse in a weird environment, Drogden fyr near the Danish shore, surrounded by windmills
Jackson’s Point Lighthouse
“In 2018, Council authorized staff to work with a local resident on a proposal to design and construct a lighthouse at Jackson’s Point Harbour to replace the previous day marker. The lighthouse is intended to celebrate the spirit of Jackson’s Point and the harbour as a destination on Lake Simcoe. Construction completed in 2020 and the lighthouse is now operational.”
