Recommended alternatives to lightroom for cataloging & integration with DXO

I’m getting tired of workarounds in Lightroom processing especially since I only need it for cataloging so been looking into alternatives. Any opinions on Acdsee or Zoner? Acdsee cataloging seems quite impressive. Any way to integrate some of them easily with DXO?

Write keywords to XMP

I am a Windows user and could not test the keyword feature. As far as I understood PL3 will be able to add keywords, but will keep them in the database only and not write it into a XMP file. This locks you in into PL and precludes working with your keywords in other programms / DAMs. I think PL definitely needs an option to write keywords into XMP files.

Almost all of these are related to DAM/image management. I agree with your conclusion about where DxO should focus their efforts. I personally use IMatch https://www.photools.com/ as my DAM; its functions surpass Lightroom for image management and it’s very compatible with PL. (Windows only, though.)
