As in the title.
Elliptical u-points are available in NIK, they should be in PL. I can understand if DXO is saying that they are superfluous with the AI masking feature. Is that consistent with user experiences?
Being able to use a luminosity mask with fine contrast is such an important feature. Do we have it yet?
If I remember correctly, an elliptical U-Point was promised for PL v2. Today we have PL v9, with very interesting AI masks, but apparently the software developers don’t fully realize the potential U-Point masks still have, especially those with adjustable envelopes, like in Nik 8. I was almost certain it would appear a year ago, but unfortunately, they didn’t even implement it in this release. Words fail me…
Well, if they put it in PL then there would be no reason to buy NIK, right?
I started a Feature Request for this Fine Contrast sliders in local adjustments in May, having not seen @Ralf_Brinkmann’s post from 2021.
