I’ve been in contact with and had a chat with staff and offered moderation help.
Lets see how everything plays out.
Thre are problems as well as DXO not suporting the fourms. To cut new versions to every other month even if this is said to be temporarily sounds to me there could be problems again
FYI, I submitted a support ticket and sent them this link:
C1 was also hit recently by spam bot. Now they say they will close their forum in few days, looking for a new platform. That may be a different story, though. It seems they have implemented basic “are you a human” check.
No matter how advanced the bots or users using them are, they tend to use emails which give them away fast.

@Fabrice-B this is now getting really silly. Every time I ping the forum, I am finding loads of spam. So far, this weekend, over 300or more.
What is more worrying is that I am also getting notifications from the spam in the forum into my email account.
If the information in the link to the Discourse spam blocking is right DXO don’t apeare to have done very much on blocking the spamers
Just looking like they have been removing them during the working week
It looks like they need to take the fourm down and restart it eather with a diffrent host or better setup. But they don’t appear to have either the interest or maybe the resources for either so far
As a resource for customers and those thinking about the programs as as been pointed out the current situation is a disaster. They really must do somthing about those, who have tried in place of them, getting notifications from the spamers purely as a result of taking actions to stem the spamers
it’s sunday, not sure they’re working weekends so let just wait for tomorrow. as for spam, thanks to ai to make script easier
It is a huge concern. I recently took the plunge and cancelled my Adobe stuff - maybe I should resurrect it just in case. Or go back to C1. Not prepared to continue like this - especially with the deafening silence from DxO. This forum is/was a huge part of the DxO experience for me.
I post this in the (probably vain) hope that someone at DXO might actually read my comment (and the other comments above), and more importantly do something about the mass spamming debacle.
The very fact that I have worded my comment above in the way I do is evidence of the increasing concern that DXO has stopped listening to its customers over the past couple of years.
DXO as a company make their living by encouraging others (like you and me) to keep paying them sufficient money through purchasing that software.
How can we have faith in the competence of a software company if they can’t even keep their forums clean.
I love the DXO software and want the company to continue and prosper - surely as a mark of your ability as a software company, you can, and must, do something to stop this mass spamming - people will lose faith and jump ship if you don’t.
If we could blacklist based on words present in the topic and posts, we could at least hide the unnerving loan trash spam posts.
That’s what I’m doing - via spam filter on email server … using keyword “Loan”
Usual total silence from DXO
My guess is that it is someone on here with a grudge.
Just read about blocking via keywords and hey presto the very next piece of spam is using non western characters for the spam message, defeating keyword blocking.
and the spamming happens on weekends when DxO staff are not available, so someone familair enough with how DxO operates, knowing nothing will be done till at least Mon.
Its not just taking them down its making the changes after all this time that stops them that missing. Also no communicateion on what is going to be responce let alone thanking those customers who spent time trying to do somtjing in the absence of DXO
But now it’s monday and the spam isn’t deleted…
well, I did say “at least Mon”
True could be any week
