XD3 High fidelity and Nikon Z8 raw files

Hello. I’ve been using Pure Raw 4 for a long time and very happy with the results. I downloaded the trial of PR6. My question is: Can I use XD3 High fidelity with the raw files from my Nikon Z8? I read that XD3 supports Bayer and X-Trans sensors only? The Z8 is neither. Thanks in advance.

Strange, I’m quite sure Nikon use Bayer sensors also in Z8. Anyway, can’t you just download a trial and test?

All the sensors in our cameras are Bayer sensors, except for Fujifilm sensors which are X-Trans (and even then, not all of them).

So the Z8 is a camera with a Bayer sensor.

Actually, it’s not the sensor itself that’s Bayer (or X-Trans), but the array of colored filters in front of the sensor…

Thank you for the replies. Yes, i was wrong about the sensor. I have fiwnloaded the trial of PR6. Using XD3 takes around 55 seconds to process a single Z8 raw file which to me is rather slow. I also can’t see much of a difference from the XD2 result from PR4. Th e smaller file size using high fidelity is a plus though.
