Workflow in PL10 for simply same as PureRAW?

What are the steps in PL10 to do only what could be done with PureRAW? Purpose: make DNG to edit with other app. From Sony raw.

This article describes the corrections that can be included in DNG output:

Why does DxO PhotoLab now export DNG files with only technical corrections? – Help center

And this article describes how to make PhotoLab operate like PureRAW:

How should I configure DxO PhotoLab in order to see similar results to those produced by DxO PureRAW? – Help center

You’ll need to read both to answer your question.

That is super-helpful:double_exclamation_mark:. Thanks. The first one, if I understand it correctly, can be understood as an argument for using PL10 rather than just PureRAW. I’m planning to use the free trial(s) as soon as I get my new computer (November). It sounds like it would be a waste of $$ to buy both; a reason to buy PL10 even for limited post processing beyond the basic raw conversion, retain the optional extra features. Am I getting this right?

Photolab ELITE linear DNG export, and pureraw linear DNG are intented to be used with non DxO pixel processor softwares (and lightroom pixel processor tools). And it seems photolab provides some more options for this than pureraw as the 2 links above show.

It happened pureraw received upgrades 2 ou 3 monthes (if I remember well) before photolab, and maybe this is DxO usual way to implement new characteristic in both softwares (would make sense).

Photolab ELITE do pixel processing with a now powerfull and promising masking system and export this in TIFF and jpg.

Use of photolab like pureraw (linear dng for other pixel processor) implies different workflows. Maybe you should try both.

You should see too :

Yes, PureRAW is a subset of PhotoLab. It is a waste of money to buy both.

But better choose the right one. Depends of workflow.
