Why so slow on Mac Studio. Are there some tweaks I need to do

I have got DXO PL 9 but am having issues with performance on doing pritty much anything.

I have switched dxo prime off in viewer quality, which seems to defeat the idea of editing photos as you dont see what you are getting. It did not really make much difference in performance anyway.

I have tried using both the nueral engine and the GPU which I thought would just be for the AI, but did it anyway. There is no real difference in performance.

Sometime when adjusting sliders it will not actually update for some seconds after stopping the movement. Even clicking the up and down arrows in the scroll bar there is a delay.

I have watched a few youtube videos and people are using MacOS on them and it seems to be instant responsive edits like I would expect.

I have removed DXO and put it back on, cleared out a few of the folders it leaves behind (with help of Hazel)

I have no AI masks and am just trying to do basic edits like midtones, highlights etc.

I know the Mac Studio is a few years old now but it does not struggle in other applications so I was wondering if I am just missing some setting somewhere or some terminal tweak to fix it.

Mac Studio M1 Max

32 gig ram

Tahoe 26.2

Solved it and it was not the deep prime rendering causing the issue, it is the High quality previews that is causing the slow down, which I did not think it would be.

Turned that off and its find now, I have noticed that when you do an adjustment it does not show a crisp image but that is fine as I can get the view of how it will be, then its only seconds to show the full quality when I have stopped adjusting.

Almost a shame now as I don’t have an excuse to buy a new Mac
