In past year or so on a few trips to the Smoky Mountains, the sun did not come out and play so made the images black and white
This was in Tahoe blizzard in February through the window of my son’s house.

In the middle image, it is so dark that I can’t see the detail.
Was this on purpose?
I enjoy the “S-curve” that I become aware of in that photo.

This is the back image of what was going to be a focus stack. I have not had the time to stack with the other images so it is blurred in front of the S
