I got out to my favourite birding spot before the sun this morning. The Welcome Swallows were not being very accommodating, either staying on the far side of this tidal pool, or flying directly at me and over my head.
I did like this as a ‘small in frame’ composition. The rushes behind are richly coloured by the very first rays of sun.
