I don’t use watermarks as such, but sometimes to add a line with information about the applied settings to a couple of sample pictures so when I review them I can read the differences from the image saving to have to open and load the image in Dxo.
When I first tried the watermark, adding a line of text, it worked as expected.
Ever since that first time, the watermark is no longer visible in the preview window. It might at another session and only as long as nothing is changed about the image or the watermark.
I’ve made a preset so I know it is where I want it but it is annoying, like I can’t see if the line maybe becomes too long for the width of the image.
This is about Dxo Photolab 7.6.0 build 189 on Windows.
Yes I can add an image or a text and I should have expressed, it will be rendered on the final image. But, it does not show on the preview window while I work on it.
Clicking the font or color did not update it for me.
This time, going to another image in the customize window, then back to the library view, there selecting the image with the watermark and going to the customize window had the watermark showing again.
Starting with a fresh virtual copy, first removed the graduated filter and disable local adjustments, the watermark showed up and changes were also rendered in the preview window. Then, as soon as I made a local adjustment, the watermark became invisible again.
However I wasn’t able to have it back visible with switching of LA, or even starting with a new virtual copy without LA.
Anyway this is what I will try a next time when I need it, first make the watermark, then the LA.
Again I don’t use watermarks as such, only to sometimes write changed settings on sample images which is easier for me when reviewing those samples.
