Warning before changing the settings of all photos

It is very useful to be able to select several images and apply global or local adjustments to all of them. However, it can also cause havoc, as I have discovered on several occasions. My workspace has the Image Browser on a second monitor and sometimes I forget to look to see I have not left multiple images selected from a previous operation before applying new adjustments. "Undo" really is not Undo. This is broken and needs to be fixed. How about a real undo please?

Undo just goes back one step in the history of the image you’re currently viewing. This is not “undo” this is “step backward”. Let me explain by way of a few examples why “step backward” in the currently selected image history is not “undo.” Both of these happened to me in the last 15 minutes, by the way… I have 250 images color tagged.
