I asked support about this and got an answer this morning. Alas, the news is not good.
Perhaps if more folks out there asked for them to support the tablets they may do so.
Below is their reply:
“Unfortunately, DxO PhotoLab is not compatible with the Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet, and support for this device is not currently available.
We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to the appropriate team for consideration. This ticket will now be closed, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or suggestions”
The way to do that in this forum is to create a feature request. I suggest you search existing PhotoLab feature requests to see if any cover this tablet. If none do, change this topic into an appropriately-worded feature request and add your vote.
I searched for Wacom Tablets and got a few returns but there were no feature requests; things more along the line of use issues, or what can be used/done etc.
11 results for feature requests. Thank you, I appreciate it, evidently one must be more specific or my search was too specific. Even so, clearly, given the past feature requests, DxO is not interested in this area of development given their reply.
For me, given your help and their reply, I feel that I am not willing to spend the money on a tablet at this time.
