V9.11 fails to download due to 'network error'

I have tried a few times to download and it fails for the above reason each time.

This at approx 200MB of a 500MB sized file.
NB just tried a ‘resume’ not a new download and it got to approx 342MB

I wonder has anyone else seen such behaviour with this version???

I downloaded it (Windows version) without error some days ago.

EDITED TO ADD
Just downloaded it again, no problems.

I upgraded my windows 12 to version to 9.11.0 version 758 a few days ago.

After on funny freeze on the first day it has been working great.

Downloaded the exe from my shop account - three times - and all have the same size and checksum.

macOS reports this URL as source of the files:

https://download-center.dxo.com/PhotoLab/v9/Win/DxO_PhotoLab9_Setup.exe

No problems with Download.

For over a month I have had the same problem. My internet is very slow, normally download 28 mbps and upload 7 mbps. After exactly 60 seconds I get a ‘Network error’. I have no problems downloading from other websites.

In which case my connection is slower than very slow, I only get 16.55 up and 1.02 down. Yet I’ve never had a problem downloading a PhotoLab installer :person_shrugging:

Make sure your anti-virus software is not blocking your download.

The same issue persists.

FWIW I have also tried with my AV Firewall paused.

Oh, and these last tries were via my account portal and not via the ‘download update’ on the program.

It may be a POP issue. Try this to investigate:

For Chrome:

  1. Navigate to the page where you’re encountering an issue.`
  2. Right-click in the browser window or tab, and select Inspect.`
  3. Click the Network tab in the panel that appears.`
  4. Start capturing HTTP traffic and reproduce the issue by clicking Reload this page.`
  5. Investigate the logs for any clues to the problem. It highlighted the issue I was having.

A quick workaround would be to use a VPN to use another country. Free VPNs are available

Update

I use MS Edge and have done for some time entirely without issue.

So @terrycym talking about Chrome prompted me to try that and the file downloaded fine first time ~ phew!

PS just need to get round to installing it as IIRC I am still v9.9 NB I usually do an uninstall and then a fresh install where it will download all the models etc.

I am still on W10 for now.

Down loaded and installed few days ago to my W11 PC. all seemed to go OK with PL 9.11.0 version 758. RTX 3060i 8GB, 32GB RAM.

About 4 years ago I had similar problems (with other software) and they were fixed by my Internet provider. Since then I’ve experienced similar problems only around Christmas and the New Year, so I skip them for critical work.
