Just opened photo lab to edit some photos and saw the update and clicked to install. And now the software cannot see any photos.
Anytime I click on any folder, zero photos show now. No matter what filtering options I choose, even resetting them, nothing can be seen in any photo library view or customize view.
Is anyone else seeing this?
Update: after about 15 minutes of dying with panic, and trying every possible filtering option, it only works now if you filter to show only images with noise reduction applied (all three methods as shown in the screenshot attached) even though NONE of the photos in the folder have been edited and NONE have any of those noise reduction methods applied.
This is obviously a huge error, and I made zero changes to the software other than just clicking to do the update and then reopening the same folder I was about to start editing.
On the Mac, the filters show several settings that cannot be un-selected, namely the DeNoise filters. Not sure if that is the same problem that you are seeing. If I select RESET then I can usually see everything.
Thank you so much. I tried reset a bunch of times and everything else that made sense but that did not work.
Thankfully, by accident I found that the one thing that does NOT make sense actually worked which is to hide photos with none of the special noise reduction methods applied. Basically hiding photos with no noise reduction (unedited photos) actually shows those photos instead. So now I can finally see my unedited photos and start editing them.
What difference does that make? I’ve almost always updated via the software - it just launches a web browser and downloads the file. I recognize that downloads can get corrupted: causes include network problems, drive problems, RAM problems, CPU problems, download managers, … I’ve long had these under tight control and have not had problems updating PhotoLab.
There is something off for sure with these filter options.
With all the filters “reset,” all of the options for DeepPRIME have a checkmark.
However, if I click the XD3 filter option, for example, then the checkmark doesn’t go away.
Yet, the “Unedited Images” filter option now randomly becomes selected, click on XD2s and “Edited Images” is now selected, and then click on DeepPRIME 3, and “Edited Images with Local Corrections” becomes selected.
The menu options are mapped completely incorrectly.
i’ve downloaded twice from PL and it crashed, ever since i downloaded from dxo website and never had this issue, most people complaining that it doesn’t work are downloading from PL update. if that doesn’t explain than what does?
