Does DXO discount the price to upgrade PL versions for Black Friday (e.g. ver 7->8)? Or do they only discount the full price version?
Trying to decide whether to upgrade now or wait for BF and a cheaper price.
Yes, the price reductions during BF also include updates.

I bought PL at full price just over half a year ago and will certainly only upgrade when there is a discount. Otherwise, the whole thing is just a bit too expensive for me.
Just remember there is no guarantee that the Black Friday discount will be the same or better than the launch discount. Only you can decide if waiting for a possible better discount in a few weeks time is better than buying now.
I’ve taken that risk whenever I’ve updated (v3–>v5–>v7) and will do so again when v9 comes out this time next year, but I am aware choosing to buy like this could turn out to be an expensive mistake.
