Upgrade to Photolab 9 elite

This is a email i tried to send to DXO sales, it would not go through!..Blocked? Dear DxO Sales Team,
I am a long-time DxO PhotoLab user, currently licensed for PhotoLab 6. I had intended to upgrade to later versions, but unfortunately PhotoLab 7 and 8 were not compatible with my computer system. This prevented me from purchasing those versions, even though I wanted to continue upgrading.
I have recently trialed PhotoLab 9 and confirmed that it works perfectly on my system. I would very much like to purchase it, ideally at the Black Friday upgrade price. However, I have been informed that I am not eligible because I did not purchase versions 7 or 8.
I hope you can appreciate that my situation is different from someone who simply chose to skip versions. I was prevented from upgrading due to compatibility limitations, not by choice. As a loyal DxO customer who has supported PhotoLab since version 6, I feel it would be fair to extend the upgrade pricing to me.
Please let me know if you can make an exception or offer a discounted path to PhotoLab 9. I would like to continue investing in DxO software, but I hope not to be penalized for circumstances outside my control.
Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to your reply

Greetings,

I am the manager on duty and am writing to confirm that you have received the final position on this matter.

Greetings,

I am the manager on duty and am writing to confirm that you have received the final position on this matter.

As per company policy, only licenses for DxO PhotoLab 7 and 8 are eligible for upgrade pricing to DxO PhotoLab 9. If you visit our website, you’ll see this reflected clearly in the upgrade options available. Unfortunately, we cannot apply upgrade pricing from earlier versions such as DxO PhotoLab 6, and no exceptions will be made.

If you wish to proceed, the current new license pricing is available and is already discounted as part of our Black Friday promotion. This is the best offer we can provide at this time.

Thank you for your understanding. Please note that this decision is final and not subject to further escalation.

regards,

Riley - DxO Labs Support Team

Im confused 7 and 8 were NOT compatible with your computer but PL 9 is something odd there

Possible if he is running macOS Big Sur or Ventura, which is enough for PL6 but not for subsequent versions, which require a minimum of Monterey.

That explains why PL7 & 8 wouldn’t work but not why PL9 does work.

Guessing that he likely that he upgraded to a new system, but just failed to spell that out explicitly.

Agreed, can’t think of any other explanation.

And no more comments interaction with anyone again odd
