I use PL8 and FP7. I don’t tend to use the more ‘advanced’ features very much - e.g. I’m happy using the odd mask here and there but I mainly play with the common features - contrast, shadows, colours… that sort of thing. I also use the FP presets occasionally, but now that the Fuji ones have gone, it’s disappointing - I really liked those being an old Fuljifilm user. The AI masks look interesting, but they’re not compelling enough for me.
I’m thinking of skipping the upgrades this year and instead look at upgrading to PL10 next year in the Black Friday sale.
Do we know/think if FP7 would be compatible with PL10 or would I likely need to upgrade to FP8?
I was on FP 6 and it’s still supported. I wouldn’t worry about FP 7 compatibility. Have you tried PL 9? If you play with global adjustments, you get average results. Masks are really the key to good editing. I wasn’t blown away by the new AI masks on paper, but I tried them now and was convinced to upgrade yesterday… For my workflow, AI masks will be faster and more accurate.
