Unable to use DxO PureRaw after upgrade from Win 10 to Win 11

Hi all, I have a valid licence for PureRaw 4. I installed and activated DxO PR4 on 2 Windows computers. PR4 ran flawlessly on both. Now, one computer was upgraded from Win 10 Pro to Win 11 Pro (an upgrade not a clean install). When loading PR4 a message box says that this computer already had a trial period, when I enter my licence key, a box informs me that I have reached the maximun number of activations. It seems that the DxO server assumes this is new computer which it is not, just a new operating system.

I raised a ticket, received an ticket number, but unfortunately the support is not responding to my request. Anyone got an idea what to do? Thanks

Volker

You can try removing the license file for PureRAW, probably located at C:\ProgramData\DxO Labs\Licenses - and then reactivating the license when you start PureRAW. But if that doesn’t work, you’ll need to wait for support to respond.

Microsoft have done some internal changes during upgrading which have cause some licensing systems to parse the changed data as a new system.

Follow Egregius instructions but I guess you will have to get help from DxO support to release your licenses.

And you’ll probably need to be patient - DxO support staff are very busy dealing with current spam attacks !

Thank you all for responding. Issue is not yet resolved but support has been in contact with me to request additional information. I am optimistic …

Hi all, issue resolved. Support modified the counter for activations.

Thank you support, and forum.

If DxO could switch to a less hardware/OS sensitive protection scheme (like the account based one used by Adobe and Topaz Labs ), this would be a good idea.

Problem fixed for me.
