This is basically duplicate & extension of this feature request created a couple weeks ago: Better manage RAW+JPEG pairs using stacks - #3 by Wolfgang
If I were you @LarsN I would add your comments to that one and upvote it, and then close this one. Disparate posts about the same thing will be less effectual then all communication and votes into one.
