This bird was further away than I had foreseen when aligning my red dot sight. Ended up right at the top of the frame, so developed in PL, sharpened and upscaled in Topaz Photo AI, and relocated in Affinity Photo 2.
Absolutely! It’s all very well setting the shutter to 1 nanosecond and engaging the OSS (which seems to drive all optical stabilisation on Sony bodies); I still need to track the bird sharply enough to keep it in frame, while moving with tai-chi smoothness to limit what TPAI unkindly calls “motion blur”.
