The Current Folder is No Longer Reachable Error

Greetings good folks,

Since installing Filmpack 8, upon startup I get, “The current folder is no longer reachable” error message. The OK button won’t respond to selecting it and I can’t even clear the splash screen. The Filmpack window goes transparent to a degree.

I am using an Apple Mac mini with M2 Pro processor, 32gb ram, running fully updated Tahoe 26.2 MacOS.

I have tried unlocking all the folders along the path and the patch is Harddrive/User/MyName/photos.library/…

Thanks for any help you can provide. I’ve tried searching the forum and the Internet using Google and came up empty on the search.

Your post looks like you’re trying to edit photos in Apple’s Photo.app Library…

Can you please tell us where your photos are and what they are (camera, raw/jpeg…)?

Thank you for responding.

Filmpack 8 has been in this condition on my system for so long I don’t remember what I was doing the last time I was able to use it. (I know, it hasn’t been out that long but my senioritis  strikes randomly.

I did figure out how to get out of the loop. I right selected a jpeg file on my desktop and chose, “Open With.” This got me out of the photos app library in the program directory. Then, before closing, I navigated to the Filmpack 8 Samples directory in the directory tree. This fixed my problem. Now I can open and use the program as it was intended.

I think had navigated to the photos app directories from within Filmpack 8 and this created the situation about which I wrote.

Hopefully someone else can learn from this and it could be useful if future updates spun the program back out of the errant directory. Or, I could just use my head and not do that again.
