Thailand, looking down at Patong Beach from a tall building

I went to the tallest building I could find in Patong Beach, Thailand in 2016, to get a photo looking down at the surrounding alley and buildings. All I had was a good (but very basic in today’s terms) Canon pocket camera, and I never knew how to edit the image properly (at least as I wanted to do it) until I got PhotoLab.

For better or worse, this is everything I wanted to show - but a lot of the image was cut away as I tried to correct the perspective to be what I wanted.

The original image sort of works, but it’s not what I wanted. Would have been nice if I could have shot it in ‘RAW’, but back then I couldn’t spell the word. Yet another mistake I made when I got into digital. Right about then, I started to make the change.

I actually prefer the original. It has a more ‘jaunty’ angle to my eyes.

Both are quite delightful. An unusual aspect of an interesting subject.

Hmm, I do see what you mean. Not sure which version I prefer.
The top version looks like something I created.
The bottom version looks like a photo I captured.

That doesn’t make sense. you captured the light falling on the subject and then you created an image from what you captured.

I agree with your description better than what I wrote.
