Hi, I’m using PL8 with FP7 on a windows 11PC. Perhaps I’m missing a trick here but when choosing a preset I find it tedious to scroll back through the presets after checking the visual impact of a particular Preset. for example ; I choose my preset via the top right “apply preset” button then scroll through the thumbnails to "Ilford Delta 100 " film simulation if I then decide I’d prefer the “Ilford Delta 400” then FP7 doesn’t remember my previous selection but returns me to the very top of the preset list! I realise there are thumbnails so I can see the affect of the preset but I find this too small to really evaluate the result of application. Hopefully this is my error and there is a much more streamlined process ! TIA
I agree this is tedious. But I think one of the more underrated features of the new version 8 is the ability to hover over drop downs and see the full size image change.
So to me, the best way is going into the color settings and hovering over the film simulations in the drop-down instead of the preset thumbnails since they now show a live preview.

Thanks for your input Brendan, that tip certainly works for me, I must get out of the habit of hitting the “Apply Presets” button

No problem. Be aware that sometimes the presets apply additional changes (such as grain), which aren’t automatically added when you do it the way I suggest.
But once you find the simulation you’re happy with you can either add grain or click the preset at the end
