ist laut DxO für März gelant.
still nothing 022726 Not very good. This camera is out 3 months now. Adobe poor support for raw also.
The PR and VP versions have been updated to support the A7V.
PR → v4.17
VP → v4.31
Okay so I found a bit of a workaround here. Originally I tried converting the unsupported files to TIFFs but wasn’t loving the quality and certain DXO functions weren’t available. Today I tried using the Adobe DNG Converter and discovered these files are supported! Give this a try if you’re sitting on a pile of unsupported RAWs.
TOO much hassle with that. Also, interesting that the a7rv has support for compressed raw in PRaw but NOT a7v. Maybe will come to a7v
Try that and tell us if it works because as far as I know Photolab DOES NOT accept DNG-files converted with the Adobe DNG Converter unless they already have a camera profile in Photolab. Historically I have seen that even in other converters so that is why I´m really interested to hear if a conversion of a new in Photolab unsupported Camera (like the A7 V was is this example) that is converted to DNG using the Adoeb DNG Converter really ius accepted with Photolab. I doubt it. This work around did not work earlier to my knowledge. It might work with Lightroom but I don´t think it will with Photolab.
LibRAW just release 1.4.11 beta, with initial support for Sony a7v compressed raw files. I hope that is a sign of DxO soon getting compressed raw support also.
Where is it?
AFAIK, latest Libraw release is 0.22.1.
EDIT: OK, you probably meant RawDigger 1.4.11.
There is no connection what so ever between Libraw and PhotoLab so your hope is misguided.
DxO only provide support for camera bodies and lens that they have put through their propitiatory measurement process. That means DxO must get the camera body / lens into their lab. It takes time, often a long time, for them to organise access to a camera body / lens.
There is at least one: in “libraw license.txt” file.
Didn’t know that but I remain convinced that DxO make no use of Libraw for their body/lens modules so it can’t be inferred that because Libraw supports a camera it means support will show up in PL.
Surely DxO does not use libraw demosaicking functions (derived from dcraw). However, it may use libraw functions, possibly modified, for parsing metadata and unpacking the raw data. It has nothing to do with body/lens modules, which are probably just tables of data coming from lab measurements.
