Spring (at least in the Northern Hemisphere)!

This is the second day this week I have been able to capture a swallow. Still getting back to grips with my red dot sight, so I had to sharpen the subject a little for motion blur.

Still, it’s only the beginning of spring. And they’re early this year.

I think that didn’t come out as you intended - it sounds like you used sharpening to create motion blur :joy:

Are you using Topaz for that?

No, @Joanna, I meant that there was still some motion blur in the picture before I sharpened it. It is true, however, that I used a brush LA in PL to blur the cable on which the birds are perching/landing. The former in Photo AI.

I haven’t had too much of a problem with motion blur in the past; perhaps the wing movement is faster when they are alighting, or perhaps I had selected a sub-optimal IS setting on the lens. I think this setting (1) on Sony lenses is for lateral movement. I am already on 1/4000 for the shutter, and can only go shorter with the electronic shutter. And that introduces distortions from the rolling shutter…
