Spec'ing A PC Optimised for DXO PureRaw

I know nothing about DXO software, but I’ve been asked to help a friend put together a PC which is optimised for DXO PureRaw 4 performance.

The PC will be fast (building fast PCs is my jam).

But in terms of getting the best PureRaw performance, is it simply a matter of getting the best Nvidia RTX GPU with at least 16Gb VRAM and within budget? Or is there more to it than that?

Does anyone have any experience of, for example, a well spec’d PC (multi-core, 32Gb RAM, fully SSD) + an RTX 3060 / 4060 / 3070 / 4070 / Ti variants / Super variants / 3080 / 4080 equalling a certain number of seconds of processing time per image to help me guide his choices?

Thanks

Pretty much.

The system requirements for PureRAW are here:

I recently upgraded my PC to an Intel i7-14700 CPU (20 cores) with 24Gb RAM, a 1TB SSD for Windows and App installation, a 2TB hard disk for docs, pictures etc. and an Nvidia GEForce 4060Ti graphics card with 8Gb dedicated memory.

I don’t use PureRaw, but do use the DeepPRIME XD/XD2s noise reduction in PhotoLab 8, and assume PL exports and PureRaw processing are similar in computational / graphics processing requirements… With Nikon NEF RAW files from a D7200 (circa 30Mb per image file) I’m getting exports to 100% JPEGs at 3s per image for a batch export of 30 images (with DeepPRIME XD/XD2s selected for all images)
