Hello,
I just bought a new PC with this setup:
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070; CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i5-14600K 3.50 GHz; RAM 64GB
I was using PhotoLab 8 on my old PC just few days ago with no problems (I used Old Nvidia GTX 970).
After installing new software, I experienced an issue:
I can’t export pictures edited by Deep PRIME and Deep PRIME XD/XD2s. After exporting I get the message: Internal error (correction failed on Execute stage). High quality and PRIME work normally and I can export photos edited with this settings. Also on loupe the magnified photo looks extremely blurry with Deep PRIME and Deep PRIME XD/XD2s on but it looks normal with High quality and PRIME settings.
I have never experienced such a problem. I already tried to change Deep PRIME acceleration settings in Preferences tab, I tried to uninstall the app and reboot the PC, problem still persists. Drivers updated also.
Trying running the PhotoLab repair feature. If you rerun the installation file you will be presented with the attached window. Choose the repair option and it will fix any installation corruptions. It may not resolve your problem but it is the first thing I would try.
None of this worked. I even took out the big guns and reinstalled windows completely with total removal of data.
I installed PL8 and the problem still persists.
I tried cr2 and cr3 files from my old and new Canon camera. I have tried totally new customisation of photo I never edited before in Photolab.
I will attach files when I reach home.
Thank you!
@PiotrP I don’t know what is causing the problem but the failure of the Loupe with DP and DP XD2s indicates that DxPL is not connecting successfully with your GPU (the Loupe only uses a limited amount of GPU but it certainly uses some, except it doesn’t in your case, it seems!?)
As I understand it your new i5-14600K should also have an onboard GPU so you could try to force DxPL to use that if it shows up in the ‘Preferences’, ‘DeepPRIME acceleration’ drop down, e.g.
Please note that this is actually from PL7 on an old i7-4790K which is still using the PL6 cache location!!
Even if it is possible to get DxPL to use the iGPU that still doesn’t solve the issue with the RTX 4070?
Please upload an image and a DOP so we can try it on our systems and start to prepare what you want to say when you submit the support request.
PS:- I have encountered the “Internal error (correction failed on Execute stage”, mostly intermittently and have reported it so I will try to refresh my memory of the fault I reported and the response I received.
Hello,
Thank you for all your help.
I tried all acceleration options already, none of them work.
Apparently I can’t upload photos with DOP files as a new forum user.
I tried also changing some energy management options in control panel to boost GPU and CPU a little bit. Still no success.
I tried to use PureRAW and it also doesn’t work with DP and DP XD2s
@PiotrP It looks fine, have you tried selecting the embedded GPU to see if anything works (I suspect from your comments that you have) and, yes we are guessing like crazy trying to think of something that might work.
Sorry about the DOP upload issue it is sometime since I first posted so I had forgotten about the forum restrictions!
I downloaded your raw file, .dop file, and .xmp file. I had no issues with this image in PL 8 when exporting it using XD2S and viewing it using the loupe. It took 8 seconds to export it on my Windows 10 i7-6700 with 24GB ram and an RTX 4060 card. However the resulting output had significant visible banding throughout the sky which is concerning. But with regard to your initial issue, have you eliminated the possibility it is related to your RTX 4070?

Loupe at 200% with XD2S applied. Editing Screen is zoomed into 75%.
@PiotrP Changing to CPU for export should work as should selecting the iGPU of your processor, with the latter being faster than the former, and both of them being slow.
This is the result of a 59VCs + [M]aster, 60 images to export in total, which is very quick to create using Ctrl J 59 times! The machine is a 5900X and the GPU an RTX 3060 and the 5900X has to use the GPU to drive the monitors, i.e. there is no iGPU.
Did you try exporting XD2S using the GPU and have the same problem? I didn’t read all of the posts and thought the issue was when running the exports with the RTX 4070 selected.
