Nice collection. Must have been a good trip.
An excellent collection of shots! I think the second one is my favourite. Followed closely by the fourth.
Thanx.
They come from several places. Not a single trip.
I saw at least 7 to 8 species of birds of prey around the vulture zone (not at good reach - only good for id).
I’ll have to go back
Thanx.
I’m happy with the fourth one (just in the middle of the beak) because I have not a 15 or 20 image/second camera.
Me neither. I think mine does 7. But it matters not because, as I’ve said elsewhere, I don’t use burst mode at all. I pick my moment. Sometimes I miss, but at least then I only have one shot to pass over instead of 20.

But impossible to get fourth shot above (except by chance) without burts. Even if your camera has preroll feature.
Nor to choose the right wing position when shooting bird in flight.
When you see good pose in action, it’s already too late for taking the shot. The reaction time is too long and the pose is gone when the curtain is operated.
So you have to anticipate and burst. Even very small bursts.
This helps too to get sharper images since images in the burst can have different sharpness (du to skill of the photographer and/or small autofocus inconsistency - more pronounced with dslr I think - or other inconsistencies (vr, …).
I especially like the 4th from the top, with dinner floating in the air, about to be swallowed. + + + +
JoPov,
Very nice birds… and prey.
Lovely images. You “did good!!”.
Good job! Well done,
Thanx for your kind words.
