Hello everyone,
since updating to DxO PhotoLab 8, the entire export function is greyed out on my system. I cannot export or develop any images – all entries under “Export” are inactive. As I shoot exclusively in RAW, my entire workflow is now blocked.
I’m working on an iMac M4 Mini Pro running the latest macOS. This machine is dedicated solely to photo editing. Everything worked flawlessly until I updated to version 8.
I’ve already tried the following – multiple times:
– Uninstalled and reinstalled the software
– Deleted all library and preference files I could find
Unfortunately, nothing helped.
I’m just a regular user, not a developer or technician, so I can only troubleshoot on the user level. I submitted a support ticket several days ago, but have not received any response so far.
This is extremely frustrating. After switching from Adobe to DxO, I was very happy for several months – but this update has now rendered the software unusable for me.
Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a solution?
Any concrete help would be greatly appreciated.
Using the Export options from PL’s menu is limited, some options are greyed out. Export works from the context menu (ctrl-click on an image) and the blue export button, be it in Library or Customize view.
Looks like a bug - and I’ve already created a support ticket for it.
August 13th, DxO support answered that the cause was known and that the devs were working on a solution. An ETA was not communicated.
As of now, all export options are available in the context menu.
The blue export buttons (command-K) work with the usual options and custom settings, if you’ve defined them.
Thank you for the update. I received an email yesterday announcing the release of v9. I guess this why the bug has been left, given there is a workaround? I hope not really as it wouldn’t be very good to leave v8 users with an issue.
DPL 8.8 on macOS Sonoma 14.7.8 shows all export options without deactivated items. Now you can export from the menu, main menu and the blue export button. They should all work now.
