Is there a way to set the “default compare” view to side by side instead of top and bottom. I have not seen a way to establish that. Thank you.

Thanks as always for your help Wolfgang. I was looking more for a way to have it open in [side by side] without having to click that button. Maybe a feature for DXo to consider in the future, a fourth compare button. Another way would be to offer the option in preferences.
Mine has always defaulted to side-by-side…
In Nik 7 set your preferences
and use the comparison the way you like it so that it then “comes back”.
The “Side compare” button looks like this
and the yellowish icon indicates your preferred setting.

I think this way it’s easier to differentiate from the “Split compare” which, when set as a preference, then appears as a yellow button (and also has that twirler in the middle).
