I almost always crop “manually” with “unconstrained” aspect.
Is there a way to avoid having to change the two defaults every time I crop? The fields always come up “Auto based on…” and “Original” aspect ratio.
By reframing and pressing CTRL, the ratio automatically goes into “uncontrained”

You could create a preset (or two if you’re processing RAW and JPEG files and want different automatically applied corrections), with the of corrections applied that you want applied to every image, including the two Crop settings you want. Then specify that preset in the Edit / Preferences / General / Correction Settings field.
