Saw this image and a question

This was on another forum not my image but question was,is it possible to remove white stick in PL8 I couldn’t successfully.
Joanna may be able to I played around for half a hour.

It doesn’t seem like the kind of work I would use PhotoLab for. Maybe something with a generative fill, but getting it to be convincing for something that large on a background that busy would be a challenge.

One thing I have come to realise about some of my photos that fall into this category — some photos are not going to be ‘pretty’ but that does not mean they are not ‘worthy’. It’s a great shot for showing the plumage of the bird. It’s just not something you’d put in a frame on the wall.

ReShape might help by letting you reduce the width of the white stalk and bring the desirable parts of the image closer together. (You’ll need a ViewPoint license.) Not that it will be easy, but it might make using the Retouch tool a lot easier.

I won’t post an attempt here, as this is not your image.

ah apologies for got forum rules.

more the case just intrigued if someone could do it on PL8 aware it can be done on many other programmes

See you saw what I was able to do with the Generative Erase from ON1, I will delete that post now.

Not sure, but a private message would probably avoid the copyright problem. Posting publicly even temporarily lets it out into the wild.

I don’t think there is any particular forum rule here, although I am not certain of that. However, I believe It is generally frowned upon on many photography sites to post a photo which is not yours and ask others to modify it.

the forum I saw it on the guy was asking all to modify in pl8 all good happy new year
