While I understand DxO cannot deal with monochrome DNG files, it should be possible to use lens sharpness and optical corrections on JPEGs and converted TIFFs, seeing as it is the SAME LENS.

I have configured my RGB files so that no DxO corrections are applied (the camera handles this itself for in-camera JPEGs).
To cross-check, I manually applied the “3 – DxO Optical Corrections Only” preset to such a JPEG, which successfully activated the lens profile → vignetting, lens sharpness optimization, chromatic aberration correction and distortion correction.
I haven’t tested with TIFFs, as I consider them “output files” that already contain all corrections … and more.
So I wonder if it has to do with your camera.
The optical corrections/lens sharpness adjustments do not appear when viewing JPEG files from the GR iv Monochrome, so regardless of settings they are not applied.
Isn’t it just the case that PL simply doesn’t have support for the camera, and therefore doesn’t even “know” what lens to supply optimizations for? Are the camera/lens combination even downloaded (or even downloadable)??? I don’t know your situation. Maybe you’ve already worked all that out….
The monochrome cameras (Leica, Ricoh, Pentax) are not supported.
The GR iv monochrome is identical to the GR iv so it should be possible to get the optical corrections without resorting to hacking the files.

I agree that DxO the company knows, and that they ought to tweak something to allow shooters to access these optimizations. But as the software stands, it doesn’t know what a GR IV Monochrome is, and therefore “can’t” access the profiles.
Indeed, but once converted to TIFF it should recognize the lens

It’s not obvious to me why that should be the case since, as far as I know, PL only recognizes combinations of camera and lens…
