I was really surprised when I plugged in my new GR IV HDF to find that I couldn’t edit the files in Photolab 9, since the only significant difference between it and the GR IV is the mist filter instead of the ND filter. I was even more surprised to not see any mention of pending support on the supported cameras page. When will I be able to edit my GR IV HDF files?
This is normal. It doesn’t make any difference whether it is similar to a previous body. It is a new camera and as such they need to acquire a copy of it, test it, and create a profile for it. This usually takes between 1 and 3 months after a camera is released, but could take longer depending on the availability of a loaner copy and the priority DxO gives it compared to the other cameras and lenses in the queue. Have you specifically suggested this new body in DxO’s supported camera/lens database?
