The floating Nik Collection 6 Pallete is now showing lots of little squares with a question marks instead of text next to the icons.
Please advise how i can fix this? I’m assuming a missing font…
MacOs Ventura 13.6.6 , Latest Photoshop 2024
what version of PL and Nik?
no issues on Mac sonoma with both latest update
My post already shows versions for everything. What do you mean by ‘PL’?
If i knew what font was used for the panel i could check that, maybe i need to re-install it, hopefully that’s the answer, the panel works functionally.
PL is PhotoLab.

Ok gotcha. I don’t own Photolab, i Use Nik as a plugin in Photoshop.
I just re-installed Nik now but still missing that font in the panel
SOLVED
By resetting fonts via FontBook in MacOs.
I had to re-install my user fronts afterwards, but all ok now.
Try this
- rename the folder with the Nik Collection
- reinstall the collection
This should provide new apps and overwrite by-files (the other items spread all over your drive)
Notes:
- Current versions of Nik can co-exist with older versions. If you have a current version, you can have it installed separately, test it and delete the “old” stuff later.
- Make sure to keep older versions of the installers. This helps to repair installations or for immediate fallback in case of “unusable” releases (they come up once in a while)
Thank you for the reply, you must’ve skipped my earlier post where I SOLVED it just by resetting fonts in Font book, now the panel shows text properly.
A clean install of Nik didn’t re-install the corrupt or missing font.
