you may check this post Workflow Soft proofing / exporting / QimageOne printing and Profiles (?) - #54 by Wolfgang, where I tried to find out & demonstrate about the effective color management … (also) in XnViewXP. → Maybe then you decide to use another viewer.
Apart from that stuff, you may try out other cameras’ profile settings and use them as your standard for new pics.
