I went with some friends to a gig in Osage Beach, MO over the weekend. I decided to take my camera along just for fun. I didn’t realize it would be in a covered outdoor space. And that the lighting on the stage would illuminate there lower torsos better than there faces. LOL.
APS-C’s are notorious for not being pushable and I don’t have the fastest lenses. And at ISO 32000 I had very low expectation. The top image is what eventually came out to jpg. The lower image is left is what came in as RAW, lower right was minimal edits in PL, mostly optical, render and now processing (before export.)
Are they took a FullFrame with fast lenses good? No way. Are they turning out as great snapshots you can share with your friends. Yep. Are they WAY above what I expected from my little A6400 pushed to 32000 in crap lighting. Yep!
Also, in case you are scratching your head these are intentional crops to show the software performance.
