I have been using DXO product since PL5, import to disc using Optical correction only, then DeNoise and export to LR Classic and edit there. Since upgraded to PL8 and using DeepPrime XD/XD2s I get error message on some (probably 20%) of batch and export then hangs. If I only use DeepPrime no problem, less errors but still some.
I am on OS Sonoma 14.1, DXO PL Elite 8.2.1 Build 38 and LR Classic 14.01 and Camera RAW 17.0 and it is OM System OM-1 RAW file converted to .DNG after Optical correction and DeNoise and export to LR Classic. Experienced the same problem if I export single or multiple files.
Help will be appreciated, I have to use DXO Denoise function as it is much better than LR Denoise.
I have opened a ticket with DXO PL8 support as suggested. Have not yet received any feedback. I include the screen captures here, it might assist somebody if they experience the same or can assist me.
I use Photo Mechanic to download, cull and grade RAW images from memory card to a specific folder on an external SSD. I then move the graded images to a “to edit” folder on the same external SSD. I then open the images in that “To edit” folder in DXO PL8 and apply preset of “Optical correction only” I then have a second quick glance at images and do a final selection of images I would like to edit. I then only apply the NR using DeePPrime XD/XD2s. I will do this in batch processing on all images. After the NR is completed I Export to LrC to edit further. During this export to LrC I am experiencing the errors as reported. I have been using this since I originally started using DXO PL5 and every upgrade to current PL8.2.1 build 38.
After import the images open in LrC as a collection and I do my full edit and then export to final destination on WD My Book external HD (and backup die folder on WD HD)
The star rating is just my normal grading of images. I use * to ***** stars to grade my images. All processing etc is the same for different * rated images. Where do I share file to?
Exported to LrClassic 13.4 from Photolab 8.2.1 on macOS 14.7.2 on 2019 5k iMac
and found no issue whatsoever.
This is how I tested
opened PL8 and customised the images to my taste
exported to LrC with the first jpeg preset as proposed by DxO
opened PL8 and customised the images by importing your .dop files
exported to LrC with the first jpeg preset as proposed by DxO
Note that I had (for other reasons) removed all previously installed DxO items and had then installed PL8 from a recent download.
According to an earlier feedback from DxO Support, it seems to help to clean out an installation and re-install the app. If you want to try this, you’ll find locations of PL1 to PL8 items in the following document: name contains photolab.zip (1.4 KB)
