The Lens Softness Correction looks like a great feature for bird photography. It shows up as an option for photos taken with the Canon 100-400 and Canon 800 f11, but not for the Canon 200-800mm, which is my main lens. Is this likely to be implemented in the future? Thanks.
Are you sure it’s not supported? According to this page:
it’s been supported since PL6 on various Canon R bodies.

I use a Canon 200-800mm on an R7 and Lens softness Correction works just fine for it.
Interesting, maybe it is an R8 thing. I’ll swap over to the R7 body and check. Thanks for the response.
Yep it works with my R7 cRAW files, but not R8 cRAW files. Curious. I’ll try some uncompressed RAW files over the next few days. If it is still an issue I may raise it as ‘request’ to be fixed - however you do that.
Solved: Just in case anyone else has this problem - the program did not automatically download the required Optical module, but this was easy to do via the menu option.
