Anyone else find that the Compressed RAW files are not being displayed properly - see black ones in screen shot below.
I have logged this with DxO.
According to their Supported Cameras lookup, while there is support of the A7R VI since 7.26.0, there is no support of compressed RAW files for this camera at all.
I think that list has not been updated for PL10. PL10 opens both the Compressed RAW and Compressed HQ files but seems to have some problems with the Compressed RAW files. HQ files seem to work fine.

I do not think they intend to support Compressed RAW just Compressed RAW HQ

Thanks but that’s not the issue. DxO indicated they would be adding support for Compressed RAW and Compressed HQ files in PL10 and they have done so. It just seems like there is a bug with their handling of Compressed RAW.
If the file format is unsupported there is a clear message saying so and PL10 will not render the image at all - it will display the thumbnail.

Yes I am 100% sure because they have added support for Compressed RAW and Compressed HQ to PL9.12 and PL10.
There just seems to be an issue with the Compressed RAW files not rendering properly.
Compressed HQ works fine on PL9.12 and PL10
Can’t reproduce that, not on 9,12 and not on the trial version of 10. Works fine on my MAC.
Perhaps you could download this RAW file and see if you can process it - perhaps something odd about my files.

Yep - it’s a bug with PL reading those Compressed RAW files. I have a ticket open with them already. There are quite a few others who have found the same. Strange that your compressed RAW files seem to work though.
Duncan I can confirm that your ARW loads but looks incorrect for me on PL10 on Win 11. The Compressed and Compressed HQ files I’ve tried so far from my A7R6 load and render fine. Sounds like it may be an issue that just affects a subset of Compressed raw files. Glad they’ve added support now, hope they can fix these issues with certain files.
Interesting that there might be differences in the Compressed RAW files.
I wonder what settings result in differences in the Compressed RAW files - apparently they have problems with images taken for HDR and NR sets.
A bit strange that Sony don’t appear to provide the file format specifications for these files. Risky building a business that relies on reverse engineering of someone else’s proprietary file formats. Next thing they will be encrypting the RAW files and we will all be stuck with using Image Edge.
I have the exact same issue & I think it has something to do with pre-capture, electronic shutter, or burst. I have these 6 images and the only difference between 1-4 and 5-6 is that for the two that worked are those settings.
I have sent an email to support with the files so hopefully something they can sort out.
Avoid using any 12bit file formats. So any burst mode Compressed RAW files.
It’s a pity that there’s no other fast raw since uncompressed has noticeable rolling shutter
