PL v8.6.0 build 589 image tag

Just updated to build 589 and now when I select a the green picked images tag, the green dot only shows when I hover over the image. So now don;t know if the other images have been tagged or not.
IIRC, in the past, the tag selection was always visible.
Is there a way to turn this back on?

Choose ‘Always ON’ in Edit->Preferences->Display->“Image browser” section->Set tag

That was easy, thanks.

You’re right — the visibility change to the green pick tag in build 589 is a bit confusing. As of now, there doesn’t seem to be a toggle to make it always visible again, but hopefully DXO considers adding that back in future updates. Still, nice to see they’re actively refining the UI — just needs a bit of polishing!

Hi and welcome here.

I quickly checked in PL5, 6 & 7, where I always had it ON
and it is set so in PL8 (now 8.6.0 Build 589).

(showing my settings)

In my case it’s slightly different:

IIRC, I made some changes in PL7.1 (my first version) and these were automatically carried over to PL8 during installation. I don’t remember the defaults.

PL8 Help:

Set tag: Indicates which images should be picked or rejected (thus processed or not).
Depending on your choice, a green, red or grey dot appears on the thumbnail
of the selected image (invisible if you have not activated the Selection status
option in the View tab of the Preferences).

What DxO called “View” tab is actually named “Display” tab.
