PL 9 not really ready for release!

You do not own PhotoLab. What you have purchased is just a license allowing you to use this software within the limitations that DxO has outlined in the EULA that you automatically accepted when you installed it. DxO retains the right to determine how its software can be used and the minimum hardware and system software requirements to run certain features, not you.

Despite what you think, you have no right to expect them to allow you to make decisions on using their software in a hardware environment which falls below their minimum specification, even if you are personally willing to accept the consequences if it doesn’t run properly.

If DxO left feature usage to the discretion of end users with hardware and systems software that falls below their documented minimum requirements they would be opening themselves to a support nightmare when features don’t work properly, cause errors, or even cause PhotoLab to hang or crash. I suspect that If DxO did give you what you say is your right, you will be first in line to complain when the problems start piling up.
