hello.
I have update PL to 9.7.0.643 and try to use it with some new pictures.
No crashes or slow down with AI Masks : they just don’t exist anymore!
When i try to use the Ai Mask Sky for instance a little bar is displayed showing the computing time then it stops a little square is displayed on the sky but no color is showed on my pictures. No zones seem to be selected. it is the same with AI Masks i used in previous pictures : they have become invisibles.. At the sale time, if i use an Auto brush mask i can clearly see the colored zone that is selected , so my parameters in showing masks are ok. it just looks like AI Masks are simply inoperative in this version ..
Any thoughts ?
All I can say is that I use that version (9.7.0.643) and the AI masks work fine for me (although I don’t tend to use them). Worth raising a ticket with DxO and sending your app log.
Was everything working before you updated to this version? Or was this version working before, but no longer works?
I too have PL 9.7.0 build 643 on Windows and the AI masks work as expected.
What are the specs of you machine, in particular what graphics card to you have?
Same here with no Ai mask problems so far.
Ok thank you i have sent a ticket to the support.
May good idea to share the raw+dop files. Auto Brush is AI. Other masks (non AI) is show “masking color”? Switch to mask B&W show something? Show mask checkbox?
Have you turned off the Show Mask feature? Sounds like the mask is created but you don’t see the mask colour. If you make some edits like exposure then do you see any changes?
That’s a possibility - - Otherwise;
The AI masking functionality depends on quite a few downloads at time of installation - I’m guessing there was a problem with this process during your 9.7.0.643 install.
I suggest you uninstall / re-install.
Hello everyone.
Thanks to the support service i have resolved the problem with only one move :

Bonjour,
nous vous recommandons d’activer l’accélération Windows ML en mode compatibilité. Voici les étapes à suivre :
-
Ouvrez DxO PhotoLab
-
Allez dans Édition > Préférences
-
Ouvrez l’onglet Performance
-
Repérez les paramètres DeepPRIME / traitement IA
-
Activez Windows ML en mode compatibilité
-
Cliquez sur OK, puis redémarrez le logiciel
I had to change the mode option of windows ML under Edit/preferences/performance : i had to put it in “compatibility mode” and that was it .
Thank you for your answers anyway.
