Fresh install of PL10 (Mac). None of my HEIC files display. User Guide indicates this format is supported (read, not export). I have generally migrated most of my HEIC files back to Jpeg due to incompatibility with several software apps, and clearly retain my raw files so nothing lost in terms of ability to re-export to other formats. Also, I “indexed” my entire library from the root folder and it appeared to show the “indexing” indicator for some time, but none of the (camera / lens) modules were downloaded. I know that DxO continues to stubbornly refuse to allow sub -older viewing, but the indexing did appear to be happening. Obviously, I will tediously re-index each folder, but does anyone know if this is intended behavior?…thanks…gary
I have PL 10 on a M4 Mac mini and am able to view and edit iPhone HEIC files.
They only suport Apple phones and a few cameras. Though more a wider support was promised some years ago its never happened
When DxO added support for that format I was perplexed because for some reason I couldn’t get the app to see them.
Then I discovered they needed to be exported unmodified from Photos. This has worked for me in 9 and now in 10.
Exporting on a Mac

Open the Apple Photos App on your Mac.

Select the HEIC photos you want to export.

Click File in the top menu bar, go to Export, and select Export Unmodified Original…

Choose your naming and subfolder preferences in the pop-up window, then click Export.

Select the destination folder on your computer and click Export Originals

“ Exporting HEIC images from Apple Photos as “unmodified originals” ensures that DxO PhotoLab receives the exact file structure and pristine metadata required to correctly read the image and apply its optical corrections.
When you perform a standard export from Apple Photos, the software processes the image through Apple’s rendering engine. This process bakes in any adjustments, can alter the file’s container structure, and often strips or rewrites crucial EXIF metadata.
DxO PhotoLab strictly requires this unaltered EXIF data to automatically download and apply its bespoke optical modules for distortion, vignetting, and lens softness. If the metadata is altered by a standard export, PhotoLab may reject the file format or fail to recognize the specific equipment used to capture the image, such as the lenses on your iPhone 17 Pro Max.”

Thanks for these replies. I had not read into that level of detail in the documentation. I just took a photo with iPhone 17 pro and copied to folder via Image Capture…which displayed properly in PL10 as reported in this thread. Apparently the HEIC files that are not supported were converted from other files or cameras. I do not use iCloud on my phone and now take only full resolution DNGs…which I upload to computer via usb-c and Image Capture. First stop in my workflow is to tag in Photo Supreme, then “develop” in PL. THEN from PL, I will export (now only in Jpeg) to Apple Photos for iCloud access / convenience. I do not clobber iCloud with the large files from iPhone (DNG) or cameras (raw), so there are no HEIC files in Apple Photos to export for use in PL. Thanks to all for the clarity in this matter…gary
